Against this tire I drove an old knobby tires, except for frost because I drive studded tires, including but not a fair comparison can be made here. Opposite the knobby tires of HURRICANE actually has a much lower rolling resistance and noise falls only from extremely low. The grip on asphalt is good and the tires also feels safe to (ride usually no faster than 40km / h), only with larger slopes it is a bit spongy, which is probably due to the rough profile at the sides of the tread.
On dirt roads and gravel tire holds equally well. I would even that he swims in a little less loose gravel, as my old knobby tires. Since I mounted the HURRICANE, I have not had a flat tire on a sharp-edged gravel.
The reflective flanks I appreciate that, because I am also much in the dark on public roads. As a motorist I myself have already had the experience that the two large, reflecting rings of a bicycle equipped with such tires are quite well perceived.
Experience in difficult terrain or in smoothness (ice, wet roots, ...) I have not yet collected the tires, but assume that there are better for this purpose tires.
As everyday tire I can recommend the HURRICANE.
