Update, 04/03/2012
After intensive use my first impression is to be confirmed. The images are sharp enough for enlargements up (so far) 50x75cm. I can not make noticeable sharpness as I said okay very blurred edges with existing equipment. In bad weather continues but the fainter very good Pentaxobjektiv the Tamron has it because it is not weather resistant - was down to minus 7 degrees but without a murmur with the terrain.

So far, no loss and the better I get to know the peculiarities of the lens, the better the results. Price is currently around 340

Update 11.03.2013
Am still very satisfied with the Tamron. Have been heard of smaller quality fluctuations in production, but that could understand neither my nor to the lenses from other users (to Canon and Nikon). Due to the constant satisfaction for over a year to upgrade to five stars!

Update 01/10/2014
Lens makes perfect their service. We were with hefty sub-zero temperatures, drizzly weather and snow with the dog in the field and the interaction with the K-5 is still very good. Have the impression that after the last firmware update of the AF quicker finds its focus. Would recommend this and also take you safely with the new K-3 - once reached an adequate level in the price.

Update 07/02/2015
The end of the guarantee period comes slowly into view. We have now mastered weddings and baptism under difficult conditions. With minimal support flash, but mostly without additional light. As before, the Tamron makes the rough-road use (currently frosty -7 degrees, snow and windy) seemingly do not mind. Since the firmware update to 1.16 Combo delivers now more reliable AF. Price today 364
