I opted for the "basic version" - ie no multi-function device and not a LAN connection, only USB and WLAN. The price difference between WLAN and LAN variant is remarkable about the 3 times an external print server that provides the same function as the LAN connection. My hope was that the printer will be in any case linked via the WLAN and I do not need the LAN connection. Unfortunately, it can be on my WLAN with DD-WRT software does not connect, he finds the access point does not, although so far still in any mobile phone, tablet, laptop, etc. was the case. DD-WRT offers no WPS, but this can not be the reason. Other WLANs he recognizes.
So: + Relatively small printer that requires little space + Very good print, comparatively low cost of ownership (to my previous Canon LPB5050) + Goes up quickly, good energy management
o Quality is ok o Volume acceptable fan hums a little.
- Capacity of the paper loading 200 sheet, cover over a plastic frame. - WiFi is not compatible with my TP-Link WR1043ND and DD-WRT, therefore a point less.
Overall I'm still happy with the printer, especially considering the price. I've seen a lot of devices that appear much cheaper.
