have the equipment once after arrival described "regenerated" with me as to the enclosed instructions. wrapped in damp cloth, it also has 97% immediately displayed (to 95-98 Show). It is therefore immediately operational and calibrated at. it responds within seconds to changes in humidity and shows reasonable values. the thermometer is working quite well.
only the readability is somewhat difficult because only pay in increments of ten are available and you have so always include the individual strokes in between. Here, for example, a thick line would have brought a much better readability in increments of five.
about the longevity I can make no statements, but so far I'm very happy with it.
