The relay module of EQ3 is there to turn 230V outlets. It can be up to 16A load on each relay, but overall on all relays together also a maximum 16A. When all relays are used interchangeably (eg for lighting), so each relay can be loaded with approximately 2.2A.

On the top row once the phase (L) is connected and the loads are then supplied to the switched phase.
The buttons on the bottom row are operated with 24V, which are provided by the relay module.
To use the relay module, a 24 VDC power supply is required, for example, a DIN rail power supply with 24VDC output.
The relay module can not be taught for a center or other HomeMatic devices without a LAN gateway. When delivered, the device without a center is not really useful usable.
