The SV35 range has a good reputation, especially due to the lack of parking the read heads that produce an annoying noise in addition to participating in the disc wear.
However, while I have the 3TB model (ST3000VX000) that rotates at 7200rpm, it has a speed of 5900rpm. Personally it does not bother me, given the use I will, but it would be good to report.
