PATZER:
A magazine page with small photos, table, a colored background text box and freestanding text should be saved as a whole as an image. "Scan photo" function stocked the CanoScan freestanding text and the table and delivered instead of the total Page 2 individual image files - one containing small images, one containing the text box. Only with the "pro" feature ScanGear that determine various useful features such as preview, cut, color correction offers etc., I could scan the entire page image as a 1.
SCHADE
"ScanGear" is in the Quick Menu, not visible, but the right hidden behind "Scan Settings". Only with the right arrow, the useful tool to be brought forward. This is annoying especially for those who like to optimize their scans, z. B. the Scan-neck. Since the very übersichtiche Quick Menu is half empty, this cumbersome extra step is to ScanGear completely unnecessary and incomprehensible.
Ask Canon: Why do programmers such a thing? Is all well that the simple (preset) functions are right at the front, but as well as the "professional" tool would have easily accommodate.
