Good sound and great looks.

Initially, the decision was made to banish the Devils 2.1 system from the desktop (space reasons). The search for alternatives led me then stumbled upon the Dell Soundbar AX510. I was surprised, because I knew that Dell (Monitor) not -specific Soundbar. The availability of Dell Monitor U2312HM the purchase decision was of course fixed quickly. Optically adjusts the sound bar just perfect with the (matching) Dell monitors together (especially blacks).

Sound / Sound
I'm really amazed at how well this comes across. I had, after I was able to estimate the size of the product photo in about, so do not expect. Consciously I present 2.1 system and the sound bar to any comparison between the old devil, because you can not compare the two systems, of course. Considering the size of the system, the built-up four speakers (nominal output power 10 watts total) and the price results in a very good and acceptable sound. After all, much better than the internal built-in JBL speakers of Dell notebooks. Of course, there may be due to the size of any room-filling bass. The maximum volume is sufficient for a medium sized room (20 square meters).

Connection
The plug-in and snap between the monitor and sound bar closed (after two attempts), even without direct line of sight, excellent. Power side, the sound bar (no external power supply necessary!) With a prepared plug connection on the monitor connected. Sonics course to the output on the notebook or optional PC yet by means of audio line-in 3.5mm jack. Other
Very handy volume control is located on the AX510. A white LED light for the power indicator in the center behind the bars is initially a little hard to get used. It would be nice if this could be switched off optionally. Further, the apparatus for a Kensington security lock is still present.
The additional PA (= Power Adapter) at comparable system (AX510PA) indicates that a power adapter with European power plug (and adapters for UK) is included in delivery.
Bought the system was used and overhauled at the major online auction platform.

Which Dell monitors adjust the sound bars AX510 and AX510PA:
> Dell Monitors U-series models of the P and (eg U2212HM / U2312HM / U2412M / U2413HM / U2713 / U3011). These have (WO) has its own power connector for the AX510 Soundbar so no separate power supply is needed.
> The Sound AX510PA bar was designed for Dell monitors which do not have electricity, as the S- and E-series (eg E1911 and E2011). The Dell AX510PA (with power adapter) can also be connected to models of the P and U series.

Conclusion:
- Sound: for the size of good to very good
- Optics: Perfect for Dell monitors
- I want the Soundbar happy to recommend.
