I have long wondered whether I take the TX-8050 or "only" the Squeezebox and for new boxes. Now that I have taken the T-8050 in operation, I must say it was the right choice. The sound brings a whole new sound from my speakers and the operation is extremely simple and well thought out. The FM tuner has a very good reception. About DLNA can be MP3, WMA, etc, play via USB and FLAC and OGG Vobis. Web Content can also be easily integrated. I immediately set up Spotify and it works very well. For larger music collections, the iPhone / Android app is very useful because it is otherwise quite difficult on the display to keep track and enter the login information. The Android app is going very well, it may even directly content streamed from your phone. Unfortunately, the navigation is not optimal by the artists / albums lists. But that's the only downside.
