These are my first Bluetooth headset in the "in-ear" design. Previously, I used only those in the "over-ear style" or wired in-ears Philips, Bose and AKG.
At the very beginning of course you have to say that the appearance of absolute matter of taste: My girlfriend was once somewhat indignantly how clunky the things were and was also of the opinion that the green accent color should not have been.
Of course, smaller components would be pretty - but somewhere between battery Yes, find his place.
Furthermore, I have to give her something pretty well the design: particularly chic looks the green is not combined with the glossy black plastic parts. A completely black appearance, I would now probably prefer - on the product image looked all a bit better. A little stylish and "science fiction-like" they act so but quite.
For use in sports they are so useful in any case.
The weight would benefit them here. Unfortunately, however, the seat of the headphones is then more or less sub-optimal. Although they are stuck with no "wings" as normal in-ears in the ear canal - but then draws the leverage of large functional units over time more and more on them.
The manufacturer was thinking, of course, it and provides the reason the silicone wings with. These must be connected so that they lie in the inner turns of the outer ear and provide stability. So like I already know from my Bose headphones, where I was really surprised at the first wearing, how awesome they are thereby handle. Light in the ear, holding on, yet hardly noticeable ...
Unfortunately, that behaves slightly differently in the Soundpeats. The holder of the wings is apparently too far mounted outside. The result is that none of the supplied silicone particles a really comfortable setting in the ear is possible. While holding the handset, if you go far enough by introducing these into the auditory canal, however, the pressure is then in a very unpleasant area - even with the youngest essays. Plotting them regularly - so as normal in-ears loosely, yet are strong, the wings are too far outside and roam the turns of the outer ear only on the outside. A stop is not possible and the wings useless.
That nowhere is a guide to find out how it should look exactly the wings in the ear, I have an additional negative note. Inexperienced come here quickly tedious fumbling and come as mentioned above but to no satisfactory result.
Furthermore, the wings do not seem to be suitable for everyone's ears. My girlfriend had almost uncomfortable using wrong that the silicone strap ever any could take a grip on the ear turns the bud - which also led to this quite quickly gave me again.
However, what I would like to praise, is the battery life, specified by the manufacturer with 5h. For me they were more likely to 6h in the continuous playback - and at fairly high volume.
Sound:
The acoustics of Soundpeats is measured by the price quite good. The bass is extremely strong, the centers easily perceptible and the heights at no time uncomfortable.
Only an emerging by the higher pressure, always slightly muffled wearing could tarnish the listening something.
Operation:
Thanks to a good and crisp tactile feedback of the buttons, the handling and control in my opinion, is quite simple. Surely because the manual fairly extensively informed (on "google translator English") over all functions.
In addition, important information such as "power on", "Pairing", "Connected", "Battery low", etc. are displayed acoustically. If the nerves, this is also switched off.
Conclusion:
Who agrees with the very eye-catching design, receives here basically extremely convenient Bluetooth headset that can convince sound and functional. Unfortunately, the bracket using the Silikonflügelchen contrast is unacceptable. Since I quite get along with other manufacturers and models, which also have such wings, it concerns with the Soundpeats clearly a design problem.
The many 5-star reviews come probably from the fact that these reviewers, as I also have received the product from the manufacturer free of charge.

Now, in a few reviews I could already read of difficulties while pairing with the Bluetooth device.
This is because the pairing mode can be reached somewhat cumbersome:
The headset must be switched off -> Long click on the function button -> headphones turn on, LED blinking blue - (!)> While the button but do not release ---> after a total of about 4 seconds is flashing the LED fast blue / red -> Now listeners are found in the Bluetooth menu.
If the headphones have been turned on, long click on the function knob until these are turned off.

Note on 15/03/2015:
Once I wanted to go a little to the bottom of the problem with the fit, I now have encouraged a couple of friends to wear my model once sample.
The amazing: In about half the headphones fit very well - the other, however, they are of uncomfortable or had the same opinion that I took first. For them, the wings did not slip into the "ear-turns" simple and had only to curb by high pressure - under which the wearing course extremely suffered.
To facilitate comparison, my unfortunately wired Bose In-Ears were allowed to serve, which funnily enough in all subjects wonderful and enjoyable held despite similar wings.
My new conclusion regarding the design reads thus:
Depending on the ear mold is one, also with regard to comfort, with the Soundpeats extremely happy.
Unfortunately, you can not completely verify whether they are suitable for one or not in advance. However, a test is worthwhile because of the remaining qualities perfectly.
For a new edition of the product I wish, however, that the manufacturer designed the installation of the winglets for different ear types more tolerant. This would be easily possible by a nearer to the "sound-exit point" bracket.
