Some disadvantages:
- I find quite feeble battery, turning off the handset night phone takes four days at most. However you can change the batteries (NiMH included) for more powerful.
- The phone is big enough. Seeing that it is the mobile side, there is a free margin of evolution.
To know:
- The VoIP settings is simple if you know all the settings for your VoIP provider.
- Dispose of g711 codecs G722, g726, g729. The g711 codec is a quality similar to a conventional landline. The G722 provides a higher quality (but requires a broadband connection). The g729 is poor, below the conventional landline. For the best made individually test the codecs calling, and does hold one or two. More phone / VoIP provider is faced with different codecs, less call quality is good apparently.
Otherwise it's absolutely fantastic to be able to call his family from a local number, then we live thousands of kilometers of them, without turning on a computer or Skype. In addition you can keep your number wherever you are, just a router to connect the phone and go!
