I bought this converter (Converter) for driving a ceiling projector (Epson) with a HDMI signal a BlueRayPlayers (Onkyo). The converter is operated with me on a 12m long gilded HDMI cable.

After the first commissioning the signal only noise was at first (may also have been due to me, because). After another hot swapping of the power supply, the HDMI signal is converted properly into a VGA signal (up to 1080i / p tried). The image appears since without noise and artifacts. The device is switched on and off in parallel to the projector.

In addition, a stereo audio signal is output via latch works (tested), but is not used by myself permanently.

Recommendation This product is worthwhile to convert the HDMI signal to VGA signal. HDMI -> VGA + stereo audio
