First, it is of course very compact due to the omission forming "metal bars", as in, for example Schnellstverstellzirkeln.
The cap, which is in the closed state of the metal tip and the mine, may be about a centimeter will be moved upwards and then remains fixed to the metal frame.
After pushing it are both free tips.
This stop mechanism is a lever which is secured to the upper edge of the circle.
In folded-down state can be the two legs of the compass to move freely; to determine it, the lever moves up and then is positioned securely.
In addition, a replacement part is the rather compact plastic pouch, which is not a hard plastic that can quickly jump time at. This means that the core tip can be quite easily removed and be replaced by a bracket, in which you can clamp a "normal" pencil or crayon.
Again, this works without any problems, even if a normal-sized stylus then naturally survives something.
With such a small example IKEA pencil which would however rather fine.
All in all a very well thought-out product.
Meanwhile my son uses this also for teaching and he is dearer to him than the (much more expensive!) Circles with wheels.
He particularly likes the quick adjustment and that he can pack in too easily into the pouch.
For this price it really is a very good product!
