The processing makes a good and solid impression.
A points are still in need of improvement, but currently new firmware updates about every 2 months provided, so that I can cautiously hope that one way or another Macke will be fixed in future. As disturbing I find the following problems:
1) The remote control triggers when holding the button unfortunately NO signal repetition. This means that if you want to make, for example, 5 steps lower, you have to press the "Volume Down" button and 5 times. If the volume setting that may be still acceptable, but if you want to scroll through a channel list with about 250 stations and 250 for time to press on the "down" button, which is no longer fun. All I know manufacturers have developed standards for the handling of the scroll or even a page scrolling through long lists; This apparently missing here.
2) Very painfully I miss the configuration option to delay the sound output. My television is now with his picture the sound a bit behind what is not acceptable really. The Spark system provides this delay option yet, but probably already Enigma2. So the audio outputs on the device at least when operating with Spark are barely usable.
3) The loop-through output only works when the tuner. If the tuner is turned off, the signal is attenuated so much that equipment received only very limited usable signal behind the loop-through output: Many stations are downstream from the device no longer be received at this output of the switched Spark tuner. This issue, however, I have circumvented that I use a coax tee at the entrance instead of the loop-through output. This works perfectly for me.
4) The startup of the device takes 80 seconds !!! I think this is a negative record.
5) Support for WLAN stick is obviously limited. Here to find a suitable, is not easy. So unfortunately I had to realize that the purchased my ASUS Nano Stick USB-N10 is not recognized. In another stick there were connection problems: While the flash drive found the existing WLAN, but a connection was not possible. After much experimentation and internet research I found out that special characters or spaces in the SSID of the wireless network cause the network is indeed found, but no connection can be made with it. So I changed the SSD of the network and since then does the connection. Unfavorable is that eg all default suggest Fritz boxes spaces and exclamation point in the WLAN SSID set up the wireless network.
6) Each time the tuner is the message that a network connection error occurred was what surprised and obviously false because the network connection via Wi-Fi is always prepared correctly. Maybe it's a timing issue when initializing the WLAN module, which means that this disturbing message is issued prematurely?
7) it is doubtful whether the receiver is 3D-ready or not. In the manual you will find this nothing, but is specified then there is that the HDMI version 1.2 is used, so that 3D over HDMI capabilities are unlikely. Whether the information from the manual is up to date or will be but untersützt via firmware updates 3D, I can not say. (In the PlayStation 3 it was also true that 3D Blu-ray was initially not supported, but then after a firmware update it.)
8) The manual is indeed extensive, but are mainly the menus directly again. Why all these menus are there at all and what the individual points mean content, is not clear from the instructions. It would be nice if the functionality of the device would be better presented and would describe how you can use this. The translated terms such as "time shift" or "displacement path" help for an understanding of the functionality is not much further. For example, the association "Zeitverscheibung" vs. displacement as the time of day. GMT not effective, it would make more sense in the context of the usual recorders term "Timeshift" maintain. This
Functionality is not well represented in the manual, in my opinion. Nevertheless, the device is easy to operate!
