The tambourine has several functions:
- Shaking the melodies are triggered (including gugus and tambourine, the main rightful very often) with a visual accompaniment of the 3 flashing digits.
- Pressing the star's voice recites the numbers tambourine (with luminous glow to locate).
Its size is an advantage because the tambourine can be transported easily, slipped into mom's purse or in the stroller.
Its strength is no doubt (although I would not go to the description of Vtech who says he will resist any event).
As against the rest of the specification leaves me doubtful. First recommended age for use: 3 to 36 months. My daughter is 8 months old and it really seems to be the minimum age for use. The toy is heavy, so not at all easy to move, let alone control, making it pat on the head half the time (and since the product is actually solid, it is not to the detriment of toy but his head). I think before 9 months, the use that can be made tambourine can be linked to an adult that triggers the songs and lights for the child (the risk is to create a real frustration for the baby).
Then Vtech says that parents love "the volume control for quieter moments of play." Personally, I will not use NEVER Volume 2 of the toy, which is already very noisy at 1. In addition, it will explain how to create a quiet game time with all the flashing lights and exciting baby's attention .
But in the end, given the small investment it represents (I also benefited from an interesting promo on amazon), it's a purchase that I recommend because it will please your baby, and will be used for several months .
