The small disk (250 GB) recovered from an old Acer laptop was inserted without difficulty in this serious housing construction. Comes with a USB Y-cable it turns out that on my Acer Aspire 6930G a single USB enough to power it. The thick cover provides good protection, it covers damage the air vent located in the bottom of the case. So I use this one without the cover as a precaution. Any satisfaction also on the transfer speed. 24 MB / sec on average over the large files from my internal hard drive. So I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it.
