I ordered this pin, because I wanted to put on iPad handwritten notes and drawings. With his finger going known not really good (my fingers but they are also not the smallest), so I have promised more success by using a stylus. My choice fell on the PogoSketch because he had the best reviews on the internet and also was quite cheap. Now for my product review:

Packing:
Much can be to not say, except that it is very small and has really contain only the bare minimum: the PogoSketch. I would have perhaps desired a small pouch to but for the price that was also not to be expected.

First Impression:
The PogoSketch makes outwardly a good impression. The aluminum used (?) Feels good and looks quality. The plastic clip at the top looks a bit delicate, but has held up well so far, and also offers an eyelet for attaching a cord. Auffälig is the small size of the pin (sowhl diameter and length). At the "top" of the pen I go in the following point "use" a more accurate.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Use (main part):
Overall, the pen is smaller than I would have guessed, with the result that he is not optimal in my large hand. When I put the pen in the hand (like a pencil for writing), the rear part is only just on my hand side or slips when pressing down quite quickly. As a result, I can only in unusual hand position "write" and in the long run the hand cramp - pity. Also, the small diameter and the smooth surface can have the disadvantage that the pen from slipping. So I had nachgreifen prolonged use several times.
The point at which the ghosts is probably the tip of the pen. One thing first: I am familiar with touchscreens good and knows that a capacitive screen requires larger contact points. Other people who complain here that it was not a "top tip" is (like a pencil) should beforehand please inform times what is possible, and why it is as it is. But enough of the preliminary observations.
The soft foam tip glides well on the iPad display. One should make sure that not too much dirt and grease is on the display, which could worsen the slipperiness. I tested the surf PogoSketch with the iPad apps "SketchBook Pro" and "Penultimate", as well as a substitute for normal operation during and play. Painting and writing works in the apps just mentioned really good and often better than a finger, you just need a little practice. For everyday use (surfing, playing, tap) but good for the pen does not really, because I just get along with your finger on the screen much more intuitive.
Unfortunately, the touch screen will only respond to the pen when you press down him comparatively strong. One must not be afraid and have the screen, but it seems to me time and again that the fast writing of the "Contact" departs and incur gaps in typeface - very annoying and irritating. Moreover pulls or pushes you, the foam tip when writing back and forth, and sometimes sets the Kunstoffrand the pen body on the screen. That does not, however, makes me repeatedly for the feeling to have left a scratch (although that is not the case and should be impossible). It remains to mention that the screen on the pen responds better, the steeper you hold it. If the pen perpendicular to the screen, the result is best. You have to strike a balance between writing angle and reaction behavior so here.

Other Comments:
I can try to pin on the iPhone3G, HTC Desire HD and Galaxy S I9000. The pen behaves almost always the same, but you have to (as mentioned above) pay attention to a uniform pressure. Surprisingly, the PogoSketch best responds (in my tests) by far on the Galaxy S. It is enough (almost) to hang up the pen on the screen only what makes the operation really enjoyable. Especially when entering text with the swipe technology which is very convenient. Whence comes my surprise? I had my test actually already completed, but I remembered the Galaxy S of a friend in the hand and I extended my test further ado. The pin on the one hand so the right way, and on the other hand is so handy when Swipe, surprised me very positively!

Conclusion:
For the price you get a good pen that works satisfactorily on capacitive touch screens. People with large hands may be have their difficulties, the soft tip of the pen should also not be to everyone's taste (but for technical reasons no other way!). However, the part required pressure and the rather large angular dependence restrict the use, since you sometimes write several attempts needed - "Undo" function is recommended!
