Goosebumps 6 1

Chapter One (Deluxe Version) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

It all started some time ago with a vague feeling that there probably still something will come. Now you can buy anything for feelings, but I always firmly back times that I sometimes have a lucky hand in the choice of my musical taste.

So it was this time at Ella Henderson. Funnily enough, the title Missed currently running in my players as I write this here. It was that song she had argued with her first X Factor audition. When one reads that she has this song written at age 13, you can not believe it first. But the more we hear from you, whether its interpretation of Cher's Believe, when they warmed the hearts of thousands of spectators with their incredibly soulful voice and many a to tears (and since she was 16), their first single Ghost, the in many countries upper chart positions conquered (with 18, as debut single), Glow, Yours, Empire or Hardwork, one can not help but to think that they then knew exactly which way they wanted musically.

In my Rezenzion to Ghost I wrote already, that remains to be seen where their journey will lead. It is my hope that they are still evolving. I do not mean that they would have to improve vocally, because it there is absolutely nothing to complain about, but if you can stand out in the music business from the crowd in the long run.

She has now, so to speak creating a brand Ella. Ella is unique. I would hope that it stays that way. She has a powerful, expressive but also a very soulful voice. It's a real pleasure to hear her sing this young woman. You just listen to the song Empire times and pay attention to what she does with her voice after the third Empire sung in the chorus. But that's not the only place on the album. Again and again I discover new pearls of their art of singing, which I had not previously heard of such. That runs through the entire album beginning with the opener Ghost to the last track on the Missed normal album or song Giants conclude the Deluxe Edition.

The album Chapter One is a masterpiece. Although outweigh the ballad or rather quiet pieces, but each of the 18 songs is wonderful to listen and it's varied enough. If it were possible for me to nominate you for album of the year, the newcomer of the year and certainly one or the other category, then I would do with this. I would do that exactly one reason. There are few artists with whom I get goosebumps, where I find myself, wide grin, because I remember the video Glow or Hardwork (this cap xD) and I from time to time my eyes must rub, because I realize that they are moist such as in Empire or Give Your Heart Away. Such emotions can be transported with the voice of a few singers and she is one of them. Ella has captured my heart.

Conclusion: For me, this means 5 star = strong buy recommendation.

PS: Would not it the acoustic version of Believe and not only in the iTunes version, were the six from five star (as it then would be possible).

Update as of 30/10/2014:
Meanwhile, I can wholeheartedly recommend each title. Ella not only slow or mid-tempo, can she has proven not only since Ghost, but continues in the titles Mirror Man, Piecec, The First Time, Rockets and Billie Holiday (bonus track).

To state the delivery, I can only say that I bought the (signed) album from their online store. The shipment (packing, delivery time) but no different from the usual shipping route from Amazon (in the same period, I bought three more albums of other artists) on which there is nothing wrong. Only the "complete delivery" option could save Amazon, as this is always skillfully ignored. Because that has nothing to do with this purchase here that will not happen in a review, but I wanted to have only mentioned once for those who love to be supplied by various dealers who ship via Amazon, with music.
