The Day Before Midnight is the first Stephen Hunter novel I've picked up, and it was pretty good. The plot, Especially the last chapter, 2300, had enough suspense, and one of the more intense firefight scenes I've come across. HOWEVER at several parts of the story the author Seems to add in technology of his own simply to make the story conform to his plot. For Example, first of all, to my knowledge all of the 50 US MX ICBMs are based in Warren AFB out West, without the elaborate independant-launch facility in Maryland Describes the author. There's another I will not divulge here in order not to spoil the story. So, the MX 10's warheads are 300+ kilotons, not 3.5 KT like the author says in the book. Still, some pretty good reading
