Since the appropriate monitor already exists (BenQ XL2420 = 3D Vision Ready) and a powerful graphics card (Asus GTX670) I thought to myself: try it out - maybe you missed something! The glasses come in a bit fiddly to open package and is sealed with all kinds of films. Just be patient, you should already bring and recharge the glasses once using the included micro-USB charging cable. The installation will run quite simple from - with newer nVidia graphics card drivers (tested: 314.22) is the 3D Vision driver integrated - so please do not try to download anything! That he is actually already installed, you should check beforehand. Start Wizard, connect the transmitter, confirm settings, and off you go. By the way, unlike the Wizard suggests the connection of the monitor is via DisplayPort cable possible (works fine with me). The first uses were still getting used to. Since you must go through! After a while you do not as strongly focused on the effect, and is set to enter the action. I tested: Half Life 2 (only briefly, not recommended overly) and Just Cause 2 (works very well) The 3D effect in Just Cause 2 very like; actually a lot better than what I saw in the cinema last. And interactively to :-) The technology is still not perfect, it provides (at least for me) with subtitles significant diplopia. Nevertheless - highly recommended, and it spices up the game on very. More Anything goes: The battery life is more than adequate for me - supposedly 60h, I could definitely have to play a few hours at a time without any problems (the capacity I'm not going to explore, because I invite my input devices usually far from exhaustion on). Reception problems need not worry about you, the IR signal is the glasses even with obstacles quite well (even an applied hand was not a problem). Now to what I do not like so much: The transmitter is often not recognized at startup, or: the green indicator light turns off after booting. This problem I have researched and it does not only affect my system. Unfortunately, there is as yet no fix from Nvidia. Only simple remedy: Remove the transmitter and reconnect. A bit annoying, I think. No cleaning cloth case - should m. E. be settled.
All in all, you should have tried, if the hardware requirements are met. If you have already spent a few hundred euros for a graphics card and a suitable monitor (3D Vision ready), you should at least consider this draw ... Without the transmitter Boot Bug's was enough for 5 stars - just as a tip, nVidia .-)
