The opener "Are We All We Are" is really fantastic rocking song. With so a few old-school hip-hop elements and a few very lovely embellishments is already a candidate for Song 1 Repeat button.
"Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" is a typical P! Nk song and been perhaps because selected as the first single. I find him rather than a weaker, although the refrain of course invites you to sing along.
"Try" is for me after one of the most beautiful songs of the album. With dreamlike piano sequence that wins over the song to drive and only accompanied minimalist music, I like P! Nk's voice here especially. Also, the chorus has catchy qualities. Great song and so complex.
Give P! Nk a piano and their great rock singer turns into a cooing kittens. "Just give me a reason" is (at least initially) a very strong piano ballad and then turns into a terrific mid-tempo number. If someone familiar to the voice because so sensational fudges is from behind the whole can become a ravishing duet: It's Nate Ruess of fun. Great combination and I think potential for ne number one. The best song from the album!
"True love" is again a P! Nk song like you want it: "You're an asshole but I love you .. I hate you so much did I think this must be true love" - beautiful!.
"How come you're not here" sometimes turned a bit by the vocoder ... Herrlich oblique, rocking number - with a then typical P nk chorus!. Of course, the woman reinvents itself not new, why, it makes it just worked well and sprinkled timidly a few small changes here and there.
"Slut Like You" naughty - but anyway, who would not hear the (Explicit Version) must buy the defused version or a Take That albums to give. P! Nk party!
"The truth about love" fits very well into the concept again alittle bit quieter, but by no means not sexy.
"Beam me up" campfire atmosphere and a very big ballad, as you know it from any P! Nk album. Then for me almost a little too cheesy with the violins ... But well.
For compensate "Walk of Shame" and especially "Here comes the weekend" with send beats and a bit wacky madness. Courageous - good.
When P! Nk next asks "Where did the Beat go", you know, unfortunately, not quite what to answer, one of the weakest songs of the plate, because it then ripples so inconsequential.
Quite different from "The Great Escape". Bright Lights! The ballad for the holiday season ....
Why then "My Signature Move," "Is this thing on", "Run" and "Good Old Days" will appear only on the special edition, no one knows for who "sorted out" those great songs ... Just "My signature move" is a hit !! The song goes forward. "Is this thing on", well in the song I understand it most likely that he is only "bonus", but also "Run" and "Good Old Days" are definitely great songs that are just fun. Just like the whole CD.
Nk P! Is P! Nk definitely not reinvented. But did not have it also. She has presented an album with rough edges and a lot of great music. Especially her collaboration with fun. neither Stilbruch still placed - it is simply a creative enrichment of P NCP sound!.
