Firstly, they grind so rough on the finest setting, that it is less ground pepper but rather pepper shot. First, I wanted to at a WMF mill not believe and have therefore investigated the grinder if not yet any "user error" is present. Result: The grinding stone is located on each case to a spring which keeps it in the correct distance to the actual grinding. Between millstone, and spring is still a kind of plastic tiles, which slightly protrudes for fixing on the side of the spring with an attached to the platelets plastic cylinder in this. And exactly this cylinder was different heights with our two mills - and in both cases too high - advised why the fine grinding degree at two mills also was not only rude, but yet different. Judging by the other reviews after apparently a common problem ...
Now I have the plastic cylinder of course easily reduce and equalize via file. But on the one hand, these are a WMF product where I presume absolute top quality. On the other hand the mill (as noted already also in other reviews) to be a bad design, because the thread to grind adjustment, which holds also millstone and grinder is made of cheap plastic. Since it is only a matter of time until this passed in choosing the grind or - even better - during grinding itself, which quickly sometimes the millstone is part of the court. Bon Appetit!
Confirmed by some research seems to be the quality of WMF products to have become considerably well - too bad. The manufacturer calculated well so that the quality first impression leads to good reviews, and participate in defects few people make use of the 10-year guarantee. He probably travels with it quite well. This Mühlenset goes back anyway, and a couple of Renault are on the way. They are certainly more expensive - but she hopefully satisfy the claim, as required to operate and maintain year - without the need to increase the use of the guarantee.
