Hardware: 5 points
The unit fits comfortably in your hand, my creaks not during normal handling. The display is easy to read even at the wheel. In the bike mount the unit is very well located. The accuracy is excellent. As batteries do I use inexpensive alkaline commodity from the hardware store. These have endured longer configure 2 Caching tours and Ettlich hours. So I am completely satisfied. In short, the hardware is ok
Software and map: 4 points
The functional scope of the software is very extensive and you can configure the display, depending on your mood. This config can be saved in user profiles so that you have different around for hiking and geocaching representations. Nevertheless, I am not able to make a truly user-friendly interface for geocaching. You can do everything, but have to jump back and forth. SW problems (crashes) I did not. The included Freizeitkarte also find very good, but I consider the case of a premium of approximately 70 Euro for granted.
Doku: 0 points
A CD one has quite the same savings, enclosed is a Quick Start Guide. There is a manual on the device itself that you can copy it to your PC (if you know it). But also the manual sums up very short and leaves many, many questions. An example of what I mean:
At Navi I found the power saving function. But what does that exactly? The information of the manual to: "Use the power saving mode to conserve battery life and extend their life." Well what else! But what effect does this have? Decreases the sampling rate? Decreases the accuracy? For these and many other questions will help just googling and looking in forums for the information of other owners. That can not be at the price! Therefore, 0 points for the documentary!
5 + 4 + 0 makes 9 points divided by 3 is 3 points total. Pity!
