Great end to the series

Dead Ever After is the 13th and final volume of the Southern Vampire Mysteries, turn to the thoughts reading waitress from Bon Temps, Louisiana. When Sookie is in prison, rushing her friends to find the real killer brought to her and assist. This one encounters in the book many characters from previous books again, almost anyone who has some time played a somewhat more important role in the series, is at least over a short visit. However, it does not seem too or "forced", but fits perfectly into the story.

The narrative style has changed so that in this book as individual scenes from Sookie's point of view are not written as a first-person narrator. I wonder though still, why change something in the last volume of a series suddenly, but I'm glad that Charlaine Harris has taken this step: The scenes fit very well into the story and increase the tension even.

The murder itself is not really unexpected, from the blurb is clear already that someone has to die, and the reader can think very quickly, who will be the victim. More difficult is then already the question of who are the murderers.

So and now I come to a very important point but: Sookie's "Happily ever after". Attention, even if I call no name, there is increased from here spoiler danger!
Well, what can I say? It is not the end, I had wished for while reading the series for Sookie, on the contrary, I have always hoped that it will not happen. However, I vemutete this partner after reading the 12 band, it was marked very clearly, in my opinion from. That is why I understand the (negative) surprise of many fans of the series about the end do not really - I mean, have drawn at least consider should it. Well, although there is as I said, definitely was not my desire partner, I think Sookie's decision but for understandable and can live with it. Each alternative could hardly have been permanent.
