"Coda" was at the time of its publication (1982) my first Led Zeppelin record ever. I bought them because they had been in the old "sounds" positive feedback to me, and I always had something Wolte heard of the legendary band. For weeks I have hardly anything else than this LP is one, and even later, when I had such classics as "III", "IV" or "The Song Remains The Same", I found it still good. The accusation of sketchy I can not share so, especially the first page of the old LP (the pieces 1-4) looks very coherent, as they would have been so always put together so to me. "We're Gonna Groove" holds absolutely delivers what it promises, and the alternative version of their last studio album "In Through The Outdoor" is even clearly better than the "official" material! A replacement for the great success of the band's albums is "Coda" maybe not, but a good addition, and - as in my case - a great "gateway drug".
