Body:
The body is in my opinion very light and handy. Since I had previously only go with a digital compact camera, I had expected that the Canon EOS 600D will happen to me pretty hard. But this is not the case. In addition, I find the camera very handy. I am a woman and have very small hands, but the camera fits perfectly in your hand and is easily handed to wear. The camera body weighs just 570 grams and is compared with other DSLRs rather a flyweight, what I realize is very positive.
Battery life:
The original battery by Canon makes with almost 1500 images. However, without flash, and the images preview I have also issued. With images Preview I do not mean the Live View, but the preview, if you have a picture snapped and it will be saved. The image is then yes mostly short after you press the shutter button again displayed for 2 seconds. I parked at me this function. Otherwise the battery would probably make even more tired.
Image Quality:
The Canon EOS 600D delivers excellent photos. Even at night photography and high ISO values were running the 600D from great photos. A noise is, for example, in dark gyms quite easy to recognize from an ISO value of 3200 and from 6400 it will become clearer. In automatic mode, the camera Maximum an ISO value of 6400. But I have the ISO-automatic mode limited to 3200, which is fortunately in the camera menu possible. Manual allows the ISO to 12800 set, this is a clear noise to be seen. The noise is stronger than in low light conditions outdoors in dark gymnasiums. I usually try to keep the ISO low values and prefer to play with the shutter speed or use a flash. So you can at least keep the noise and does not need to edit this by his pictures. I use high ISO values only when I want to record, for example, athletes in dark halls, because I with fast movements not exactly the exposure time can screw up, otherwise blur the images. I do for example in my spare time taekwondo and riding as a hobby photographer to tournaments etc. and of course I want to have each hit in focus, so I have to minimize the exposure time. But here I set the ISO value to 6400 rarely, usually I stay at 3200 and then use rather have a flash.
However, if you want to photograph rigid objects in the dark, you should choose a high shutter speed. Course is recommended for high exposure times, a tripod, otherwise the pictures are unfortunately nothing. Just about the image stabilizer is then not doing his job only at low exposure times, but that's normal.
First Photos / Steering:
After I loaded the camera's battery I made naturally only times a few test pictures using the automatic function, as I am with the operation and the settings do not matter how versed, since it is my first DSLR. The test images were amazing, they were sharp and the colors are very clear. Noisy images could be seen not even in the dark. From the automatic mode, I had not expected anything else. Good pictures, but it is not creative possibilities. For this course you need to buy any DSLR, as it does also a compact camera. After the automatic function I then tried my hand at the manual settings, as these were indeed the main reason for the purchase of the camera. I've used nearly 3 days to understand how to set everything and to know what features that have an impact in the image. But once you turn up the outside and has knows how to adjust anything, you will never forget that, too. However, I would say for impatient people and people who do not really excite for photography, the camera is not really suitable.
Settings:
Since I am new to photography I find it hard ISO values, adjust exposure times etc.. If I want to make, for example, in low light Good pictures often do I test different settings and sort out later. So you learn best what are the correct settings for the respective situations. The highest ISO value is 12800, but can be adjusted manually. For the casual photographer, for example, go only once a year on vacation and just make holiday so want it but nothing, because that I find the camera to shame. The manual settings are too complicated when the camera rarely used. And to use such a great camera in automatic mode is in my opinion too bad. Since it does then a compact camera.
