For starters, do not rely on the collection in which it was published, because it is by no means the young adult as Black Moon was more used to promote. Heroes have all thirties and are real adults. In any case, it will greatly appeal to fans of the famous writer.
The novel is actually consists of two stories: that of Samantha, librarian traveling in England who goes in search of Jane Austen manuscript and taking place in our time and that of the manuscript itself, which is a kind rough draft of the future works of the novelist. Honestly, I liked both. I enjoyed this quest of the manuscript, even if I have wanted a little longer. And I especially enjoyed the "manuscript" itself. Syria James is having fun with the style of Jane Austen and emerges rather well. Certainly, there is nothing new in the sun, because the author takes most intrigues already developed in the books of Austen, but it's fun to read. You will have fun I think like me trying to regain what history is taken that character or what book do we find such a rebound. I'm actually more attached to his false Austinian as real characters of the story!
In the end, contemporary history is quite fast, which is a shame. I would have liked to know a little more about Samantha, Anthony and Stephen. But other than that, I had a very good read. I recommend this book especially suited to Jane Austen, who will love finding the world of this great lady turned away respectfully.
