Bought for my 2 year old son and a half which was quite tall for his age (before balance bike is really too high) while it is normally expected that from 3 years old, he quickly understood the principle and grows on her legs to slide down small slopes without hesitation. We are very satisfied because the child acquires fast enough autonomy over and we did not need to push. This is ideal for the first to learn bike safety instructions (traffic direction, get off the bike at road crossings, ...). Too bad that we should buy a helmet separately. For 5 years of my son, we plan directly buying a 16 inch bike without training wheels because Draisienne, indicated up to 6 years by the manufacturer, has really become too small for him but she will go to her little brother who will then have 2 years and 8 months.
