The Engine and most models have been taken from the main game, apart from the newly desingten weapons and the new (clone) opponents just a few textures have been redone and equipped with neon stripes and lowered the brightness dramatically (it is always a kind of night ).
The style is great, despite fairly low Änderzngsaufwand and raises genuine "retro feel".
The Storry is (intentionally) rather 08/15, trashy to "Go-no-more" and full Shooterklichees, however, conspicuous by his sense of humor, successful self-criticism (and criticism of Far Cry or shooters total of) and the funny desingten characters.
If you like the humor should definitely read the "Logbook entries".
The cutscenes in comic style are nice, the pixel version of the trailer would have been even cooler All thing ...
The game mechanics have been largely taken over from the main game and are thus well. Only in some places was a little easier, for example, the skill system:
it rises to the level one automatically gets already established Satus improvements -So no skill tree.
Only the constant cyber-heart-of-enemy-tear when looting nerft in the long run but very (what but probably intent) -wenigstens there is always a stupid saying the protagonist listen to ...
The sound is good; Weapons and music, especially the theme song I think is very well done. (Soundtrack can I do for free download -at least that went with me)
Seeing Blood Dragon rather than own game but as a kind of DLC you get really a lot for your money, which DLC already has new characters, a new open world including Storry in a completely different setting has its own style for more than 5 (I mean, there at Batman for some new weapon camos ... (now is not necessarily the best comparison, I hope she / you understand / understood yet what I mean; D)
So definitely worth it
