... We thought. Overall, we are after one year of use somewhat disappointed because we expected more from WMF.
The two main criticisms are:
1) At first glance, is the flexible hammer a super thing with which one can apparently crack open the egg. Unfortunately, this works in practice as well as not. The hammer is made of a medium-hard rubber and does not bring nearly enough to force, to a 0815-eggshell even begin to crack. Some cups he does not even reach the egg despite full voltage. Here you would prefer to use a strong metal spring - how it looks just nice, but does nothing.
2.) The build quality is mediocre at best. In a beaker the faint plastic hinge connecting the lid to the cup we have gone completely broken, another has already worrying much play and will also be over soon - despite really careful handling. Here I would have expected more for the price of just WMF.
After all, there are also positive sides:
- The design is simple and will be great - for our children, but also for us. Nice to look at, they are on the breakfast table.
- The egg spoon supplied comes in the usual WMF quality and leaves nothing to be desired
- In an egg cup, an insert that can be take out and its contents. This facilitates emptying uncommonly. In addition, you have to be stuck only use these in the dishwasher. This saves space and prolongs the life of the remaining cup (rubber hammer!)
Overall, the cup is so with light and shadow. If you know that the Hammer is virtually no function and it does not matter, as criticism remains only for WMF uncharacteristically weak workmanship. The visuals are great and the egg spoon super. Total justify the price only partially, therefore no strong buy recommendation.
