As a complement to my 180mm 1: 1 Macro I have gained this 90 with USM and VC for insects photograph (on EOS 6D). It's his money in any case value! (+) VC brings 1 stop even with Macro mind.. (+) VC can also be switched off (eg for filming) (+) Focus runs inside, shy little creatures are so in focusing not through (to you supply) moving parts scared. (+) Autofocus can be narrowed down in three stages, but if you take no hand for manual focusing is free (+) Image quality is outstanding, see div. Reviews to the web. (.) The USM is maybe not the fastest, but not really relevant at Macro. Also, I'm not exactly spoiled by micro-motor drive of the 180s. (.) Lens Hood is going its own lens case not (I do not need). I'm excited.
