Obviously, sound engineer and mastering engineer, which were responsible for the mixing of this CD, succumbed to the loudness delusion. Just as if they wanted to win the "Loudness War". The aim is not to be confused to produce music in the highest possible loudness level with volume levels to produce a sound that stands out from the other artists.
When Cassandra Steen "That's why we live" this leads to not only the dynamic range (volume difference between the loudest and softest sounds) is very limited. Rather, the music sounds distorted at times downright. It's no pleasure to hear this record on a system with high quality speakers. So if an audiophile hi-fi system calls his own, this board should not prefer to buy!
If this plate reasonable recorded and mixed, they would be a little gem. So it is unfortunately a nuisance.
