With their hit "Geronimo" the six Australians last year stormed the charts and scored a real surprise hit. The thing went off like a rocket and has dug his catchy in all ear canals. Now with "Bombs away" the first album of Australians appeared, and one might well wonder whether "Sheppard" could maintain this level. You can - "Bombs Away" is none of these conventional pop albums which are packed full of inconsequential 08/15-song. There's a lot of potential at the start, the songs are very varied, impress with very nice and catchy melodies - that fits! Above all, the voice of "Amy Sheppard" has it done to me, warm and snugly fits the same in the ear canals - just lovely! Ever is "Bombs Away" packed know with great melodies that already act at the first hearing and to appeal immediately. The strength of this album is that the songs have very clear influences from the rock / folk area and these are emphasized with guitar music. This in turn ensures that "Bombs Away" stands out from the usual pop productions and less artificial, but rather "handmade" effect. As the songs move all at a very high level, it's pretty hard to emphasize individual songs. Still, I would "Something's Missing", "These People", "A Grade Playa", "Smile" The best is yet to come "and" Lingering "want to designate as Anspieltipps." Geronimo "knows anyway everyone, this probably has nothing more to be said.
My conclusion: A very varied album with sustainable pop music that is far removed from these inconsequential 08/15-song of this genre. The influences from the rock / folk-area make "Bombs away" a special album and make sure that you can reduce it not only to "Geronimo". If you like the music of "Family of the Year", should on this album as well have some fun!
