Long I have decided to clipless pedals, the bond not being able to solve fast enough fear in difficult situations, but from
for some reason I wanted to at least try once. The Shimano trekking shoes SH-CT45 Click'R I had bought several months ago because
I wanted to have cycling shoes with a stiff sole, which are also still super ventilated.
9 days ago I got me then the Shimano PD Click`R T 400 pedals here at Amazon ordered (supplied by fahrrad.de All the best).
Delivered quickly and well packaged, goods as described. The old pedals solved with the help of some WD40, new pedals at the
Shimano LX crankset mounted, the supplied cleats (cleats: SM-SH56 only) screwed under the shoes ... finished
(Previously quick look at the instructions supplied, also in German)!
Practice:
I have the spring force to Ausklicken first put to test on the most vulnerable stage, but that was too weak to me, because I am ever been clicked inadvertently,
But even if I'm out of the saddle and have vigorously stepped uphill. Then have the spring to "Level 10" so middle position turned (3 Allen) and now everything is great.
Perfect fit, no matter how firmly you pedaling and still easier exit through side unscrew the foot ... I think it was 8 degrees according to the description fits ...!
For the one-click, you need a few minutes of practice, but it works without problems.
I am now down good 200km to the pedals and no longer want without :)!
Pro:
+ Pedals make a robust, sophisticated look, however, have no comparison to higher quality pedals
+ Rubberized coating of the metal body provides grip, if you take short trips with normal footwear drives
+ 2 reflectors (about the design one can argue, not me störts)
+ The inputs and Ausklicken works really great and worked perfectly after 10 minutes, was greatly surprised.
+ The strength of the spring for Ausklicken can be adjusted in 20 steps I think
Cons:
- Pedals relatively stiff, probably by the sealing of the bearing (in Verglleich to my old man)
Conclusion:
Absolutely recommendable pedal, especially for beginners. Solid handles, easy handling, secure hold. My long
persistent skepticism was unfounded, I'll go no longer without "KLICK'R".
