The rating is still become a bit longer. Reading Joyful start here, those who have a hurry, jump to conclusion

Brief Introduction:
As my mobile phone contract with but also very satisfied HTC OneS (Android 4.2) has now expired, and I can only deliver to the black my service provider the terminal, I have the new Nokia Lumia 930 Bright Green on 2014-07-24 ordered from Amazon Prime and a next day morning received. Class)

My profile:
Telephony (!), Text messaging (WhatsApp, etc.), contact, and appointment management (Exchange), multiple email accounts, Internet (no mobile pages), little social networks and around snap, very rare games. Listen also no music on the phone and do not have photo / video collection here, so my 32GB storage will certainly be enough (HTC Touch Diamond / 4GB, iPhone 3G / 16GB, iPhone 4 / 16GB, HTC OneS / 16GB to the last four devices show ), and a Batty Frog SUBSCRIPTION I also do not own)

The agony of choice:
Currently set at ease many When asked which smartphone is right for a well being ... be it iOS 7 with iPhone 5S, Android 4.4 with HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3, Sony Z2, or at least the latest operating system Windows Phone 8.1 and the Nokia Lumia 930th

My Decision:
Fell on the Nokia Lumia 930 (gr), because I do not need stereo speakers in the front, do not feel like inflexible Sync software have (four years iOS used (3G / 4) and was annoyed exactly the time about various little things, like Calendar, Mail to iOS 2 times not even text copying possible, and just mentioned inflexible sync iTunes software, etc.), and to me the processing of the Samsung devices (except that of grade 3) absolutely cheap occurs.
I wanted a device that is super processed visually appealing (subjectively), without difficulty functioning, a good voice quality and will receive software updates (the Android update policy per manufacturer's terrible), and still reasonably mobile is.

Processing:
The Nokia Lumia 930 is super processed and has visually through the metal frame but already some resemblance to the then best iPhone 4 / 4S. The display and the back is slightly rounded down to the edges so that no transition can be felt. The Nokia logo is discreetly mounted in the upper right corner, and not so exaggerated as eg. the HTC One M8 (behind is centered, very discreetly printed in the mobile phone color). Also I liked the recognizable softkeys the screen frame better than the hidden while Samsung Galaxy S5 or in the screen integegrierten as the HTC One M8.
In the right frame to volume rocker, on / off switch and wow a key for the camera are (yes the iPhone can (could) you put the trigger on +). A pity, I find that the top of the headset port, and below the USB port are exposed and are not covered by a protective cap. Surely pulls the dust sometime in ...

Operation / first impressions Windows Phone 8.1:
To have iOS 2 used due to the fact the last two years Android 4.2, and the four years before to 5, I had slight reservations about how it goes with a new operating system, which has no resemblance to the previous one, and also not with Windows Mobile 6.1. To make it short: I do not play, and do not need 12,345 App (likationen) to pimp to any Selfies or to pass the time with infantile games. Therefore, it does not bother me that the Apple AppStore / Google Play Goals have made more content to offer far (from experience I say that most of it but not really great).

I found that I come away with the intuitive operation to right and could nimbly change the most important settings for WLAN, SIM profiles, notifications (sounds and Status Bar / lock screen). The array of applications on the home screen and the arrangement of these tiles went super fast. I want to say it now looks like this tidy as on iOS.

However, the settings menu is unusually messy and somewhat carelessly designed, as before, but not really nested in the RIM devices, and honest as often as you do not type it in the settings around yes.

Well done what I think is the back button, tap once it comes back (a page, an application that ...) and last opens analogous to iOS / Android an overview of all active applications that you close then individually, or can change. The tabs in Internet Explorer 11 are clean to maintain than the Android / iOS.

What is completely new for me, if you wipe to the right, are all installed applications in a row, in alphabetical order and available. With a long finger clicking this can then be uninstalled or moved to the home screen. Some programs such as sports / football / ceveFotobuch etc. I have taken out because I do not need the benefit of a non branded device.

The programs I have installed in addition, as I unfortunately had to find that WP 8.1 also is quite naked, (as well as Android and iOS)

- Flashlight / Morse: Had the HTC OneS frequently used function.
- Facebook: Works well, but seems GGNB some versions. the Android zurückzuliegen.
- WD2Go: File Manager for my NAS (WD MyBookLive 3TB)
- Amazon and electronic bay: classics;)
- Timer: I was very surprised that there is no clock-Tile, combines the alarm clock / stopwatch / timer. After a bit of searching and try and uninstall timer was the only application that still continues to count when you exit the program.
- Tilesparency: Provides the ability to integrate blind tiles (with function).
- Application folder: Have several frequently used settings summarized here.
- CPlayer: can access the hitherto only known me player of a network resource (NAS). Sorry, no Matroska (.mkv) and Flash Video (.flv) support, and 1.99 EUR costs, but are worth it).
- YouTube: The lack of Flash video support in InternetExplorer11 unfortunately forced, but if you want something to watch.
- WhatsApp: Sure, the GSM SMS-product uses indeed barely who.

Thus almost all my needs are covered. However Coming from the Android 4.2 World, I missed two things of applications that have been solved by the nice Amazon users in the comments (followed by the two points of origin assessment solutions in the first three suggestions):
- A video player that really plays all codecs (.avi, .mp4, .flv, .mkv, .mpeg, ...) and is easy to operate, in which one is clicking on the bar, and according to the hour / minute jumps in the video. In the Android MX Player was in WP 8.1 the previous, Rewind is an ordeal, with the 30-second jumps; the CPlayer is there a little better.
- A file manager for network resources !!!
Although I have in my NAS doing an application, but which is uncomfortable and slow (even at Android). With Android I found one with the ES File Manager and this I really miss. I will not access streaming from phone to PC, no streaming from PC to mobile phone, but directly to my data in the network, be it documents, spreadsheets, images, videos, music, etc.

Conclusion:
All combined, I have after two / three days of intensive (he) use very accustomed to the Nokia Lumia 930 and not miss my previous unit (apart from the above two points).

As proven in the long-term test, of course, is still pending.

Plus points:
- Very good workmanship
- Good haptics
- Display big but not prohibitive
- Quasi PlugPlay
- Very fast response time (opening applications, gestures, charging times)
- Precise navigation (when HTC OneS I clicked in web pages often next to it)
- Desktop mode in InternetExplorer11
- Less waste in Store
- Tidy OS
- Voice quality and reception power
- Camera release button (for the small sensor very low noise in dark areas)
- Offline Navigation (useful abroad where no Datenflat accesses)
- Gmail / contacts / calendar on the Exchange function 1: 1 has been synchronized.

NEGATIVE points
- No fixed IP address in the configuration possible (for whatever reason, does not go now set Had the access point to DHCP with IP reservation, now that Nokia has, after all, the desired address ... still stupid, because the even my still. from time to time unused Nokia E90 Communicator 2007 already was!)
. - Complicated file sending (in someone only pictures, documents only from the Officehub; parts and send does not always work with all applications Example: Want from Facebook a photo to a WhatsApp contact, that is only about saving, from the contact, Appendix , Send. In Android that was better.)
- Unwelcome email signature without formatting option
- No support for Adobe Flash (please start any discussion, the fact is, it's not here at Android already)
- Heat problem in the lower region, in particular on the right metal frame. It is possible that with an update a little doing to slow down the processor. To me it is now noticed as I was surfing with full display lighting some extended period of time. Various forums tell the tale.

NEUTRAL points
- No alternative browsers available (with the IE11 been much around-runs)
- Status bar in IE11 can not hide tabs dominates very well in something like this, as the soft keys on the HTC One M8, it will
- Keyboard is proportioned slightly too large for some applications and detracts from the content on the screen by at least 50%. (!).
- Text Size in IE11 may be that he is a master not CSS? Some pages who live by vBulletin content, the contributions have large fonts that look different from the PC / Mac / Android.
- Headset connection, USB, without top cap.

Battery life and LTE functionality I can not really judge once I have collected some experience, I will update it.

My Recommendation:
As (gegängelter) users of Apple iPhone in every variation you can safely go as long as you are not app-Messi. The result is a usual processed phone, with an adjusted desired similarly acting user interface with square tiles (Apps). Familiarization is only that one vertically, and not horizontally wipes, and this is probably still the voice control in the nap. iOS is (without Jailbreak) just locked superficial as WP8.1, but no longer need to synchronize with the disadvantage exclusively via iTunes previously created folder, but the phone will be recognized as a mass data storage.

As (enthusiastic) rebel from the Android world coming, it may be a bit more difficult. You really want to explore every detail in the system (root) to install alternative Loader, or even completely alter various functions, one is out of place here. If you move, however, the normal user environment, you will get the one or other limitation, super smartphone, for which there is also a corresponding counterpart for many Android applications.

I for one am very satisfied. The fifth star there is, if there is the equivalent of ES File Manager and MX Player, as well as the heat problem is solved, and the keyboard / status bar in IE not wasted so much space

+++++ +++++ Update 2014-08-08
So, now after two weeks of daily use, I'm still a little update you owe:

By now I've settled very well in Windows Phone 8.1-world and get along great. Also, the home screen now "final" set)
The battery life inspires me. Unlike the HTC One S, which has already lost from the beginning about 10% per hour, I come to the Lumia 930 at the same use loose a whole day (3-4 hours of browsing (WiFi / LTE), 50 messages per day and 30 min call on average), without the proceeds from alone. According to the program "+ Battery" I get on average 16 hours total time per charging cycle. For fun I had Angry Birds Epic and Croc's World installed (games), because the battery is of course much faster in the knee, and the frame is again as already described under full load very warm.

The LTE usage works as expected super, because this network is not yet fully utilized, such as HSPA. Data transfer in Frankfurt and the surrounding area is fine, 50Mbps However, I have never experienced, 20Mbps still in there - the question arises - for what one such speed for a phone needs, except as a modem for a true mobile (!) (!) implement, because I let I liked that. Future updates and applications to load anyway better than the local WLAN, unless it has a broadband connection.

Newly discovered I have to block the practical function, and SMS (anonymous) caller. Too bad that you can not choose whether they rejected, or are routed to voicemail. Nevertheless, in order, because with "Anonymous" I never go to it anyway, so it can also be rejected.

Another note:
In Windows 7 (probably 8.1 / 8 / Vista / XP), the Lumia 930 will be recognized as a removable disk, creating a comfortable exchange of music, images, documents, etc. is possible. A Sync software that very reminiscent of the "apple crate" there free to download.
At just mentioned iMac / Book, however, the software "Windows Phone" from the store is required. Unfortunately, the Lumia 930 can not be used as a removable disk in the Apple environment.

- No central e-mail program with overview of IMAP / Exchange folder of each account (Android AquaMailPro perfect) --DANKE to an Amazon user in the comments, the "problem" has been resolved and no longer counts in the negative rating.

Conclusion update:
4.5 star ... is the heat problem and the keyboard history solved, there is really 5)
I am so begeistertet, even by the operating system, so I think about me just for fun, even for the small to buy Lumia 630 ...;)
