And I have never regretted. Since I am not a professional absolutely, it was important to me that the basic functions of the camera can be opened up easily. The camera offers with the jog dial or via the selectable image Programs menu, on which you can draw for the first try. What convinced me above all the "Sport" program - moving pictures are really sharp. Meanwhile, I use but predominantly the (also user-friendly to be selected with the wheel) setting "P": Here the camera is initially programmed to "Auto", but you can change the individual parameters as desired and save. Very convenient for beginners: For example, I can use the flash and still enjoy the convenience of automatic presets.
The quality of the images has also convinced me: Beautiful colors, bright enough (without flash and with moderate lighting), almost always hot (and if not, I've probably done something wrong).
For me, the Olympus E420 was a good decision, I can only recommend.
