The other two parts I like not quite as good, mainly with regard to the story being told. If time travel stories that action will stop unfortunately often somewhat implausible, in the second part is a case that the "plot" to go far limited slaughter on a huge island everything and then right at the end time to talk about why that now actually be needed.
In addition, the control in the two successors is no longer quite so successful, because nearly every button just has several functions. In addition, a partially very unfair difficulty (eternal distances between storage points, etc.). There is even more variety and a much more sophisticated combat system.
The PS3 conversion I think succeeded, the sound is perfectly fine - although would certainly have been more in it, but it is in my opinion no worse than on the PS2. Some improvements would have been nice (eg skippable video in Part 3, improved menu navigation) and is unfortunately missing the unlockable bonus game in the first part - for half a star deduction.
Nevertheless, for about 30 euros - unrestricted recommendation to buy, better than the most recent PS3 games that I know.
