To avoid misunderstandings: This loader does not do everything automatically. He expects manual adjustment of the charging current. Assuming here ruthless to the highest level (2000 mA), then you can cook with it eg Eneloops playing to death. With a reasonable adjustment (eg 700 mA), the cells are loaded cleanly within approximately 3 hours and will be, at best, lukewarm.
The unit is actually built foolproof. Turns one and just place an only cell, without further key strokes, then the charger will automatically begin its gentlest (200mA) charge. Making sure no battery is broken. (Measure higher charging currents for faster charging, discharge, capacity, battery refreshen) All other functions require appropriate operating procedures at the keys.
For me, this is the perfect charger for the journey. At home there's better (eg Conrad Charge Manager 2010), albeit at considerably higher prices.
