- As a native output format is jpg only available but a lossy image format such as PNG, TIFF, etc.
- No TWAIN Driver
- Somewhat complicated software (at least on Mac)
- Not really network suitable because (in contrast for example to a network printer), only one device / "access" computer to the scanner (and then again must log out before the scanner other available also done the OCR not on the scanner itself, but always on the device / computer
