For me the matter was simple: I wanted to have never standing around 5 or more boxes in the living room. Once space reasons, secondly because I do not find particularly beautiful and thirdly because I also surround sound was just never been particularly important - in some cases I find it even irritating. I also think that I'm not the only one for everyone else this review is probably worthless.
Anyway, I finally wanted to have something more and better sound (after years with only slightly above-average TV speakers on my Sony KDL-40Z4500). As I said, a system more free-standing boxes for me came to me never question - the more sound is to me as simply not (in my view) disadvantages in terms of space, appearance, cost and effort worth it. Only stayed sound bars and the still relatively new sound bases or sound object (like this one).
I then also thoroughly researched and found the sound Bases practical because you do not need an additional subwoofer (as with the Sound Bar) and also no installation, special place etc is needed (just stands under TV). Once there, I again dieserve models from Denon, Bose, Philips, Canton, Panasonic, Maxell, Onkyo and just the one here from Sony (so far also been known to me the only) compared - to test mind only through online research, they all Unable me.
When Sony I am ultimately landed due to the following points:
- Sound-wise, according to various reviews with seemingly very front
- Good workmanship
- In my opinion by far the best design (matter of taste)
- Lots of useful (for me) functions that do not offer many of the competitors (NFC, Bluetooth)
- Plenty of HDMI inputs (also a rarity, as it seems)
- Simple and small remote control (I need hardly soweiso for HDMI connection)
- The truly affordable price, in Installed of the above (especially in comparison with the competition, which then often less "offer" for more money and according to tests not better sound)
- Not irrelevant for me was that I have a Sony TV and other Sony devices (BD player, Playstation) and therefore expected a better Zussamenarbeit. However, this was less important because I have this awaits basically from any ordinary device
Of course you have to say that one is not hiring opportunities as in a set-up with a full-fledged AV receiver here in fairness - that was clear to me. And even if I sometimes (but rarely) wish I could adjust the sound but special / re-adjust (here you have basically only 2 controllers and 4 or 5 vordefinitierte soundscapes like "film" or "Music"), it is for me more than bearable for the reasons explained at the beginning reasons.
Oh, and compared to TV Speaker, the difference in sound quality is of course enormously ;-)

my budget was the way EUR 400 and I have also compared the appropriate systems. So that I would ultimately only EUR 250 to spend, at first I was not expected because in this context, I wanted to save money at the expense of quality.
