I run the TV via its 400x400 VESA mounting on a wall bracket. Specially designed for operation on this, a separate audio mode is offered. The internal speakers are relatively useful for a television. Otherwise the TV via the headphone output by means of a pawl -> RCA cable to the auxiliary input of a stereo system or an HDMI ARC can be connected to an audio receiver.
Sorting the channel list is in no TV a VernĂ¼gen and so it is here. Can encode for a reasonable way to do this in the firmware developers no time? But not so bad, after all, does not make it something that every day.
The TV has an "infrared out", through which it can control other devices. I had initially hoped that this is an additional input, since the built-in IR sensor is located on the rear panel, but was disappointed. It is in fact an output via which the TV can obviously control other devices. For my purposes, that's not useful.
"Problem" of most televisions have many integrated "Bildverschlimmbesserungen" which ensure that the image of the source is not faithfully reproduced. With a lot of patience can be the TV very much "tweaking" and achieve a very flat frequency response, almost like on a PC monitor. Although this is "only" a VA panel. Nevertheless, the image of my monitors which comes with IPS panel already "dangerously close". The Panel is therefore definitely very good and if you have the patience to optimize all the settings, you get basically a device that you can use as a "monitor".
For external sources do you get the overscan, which indeed merely a relic from the analog times is (digital image sources have inherently no "dirty edges" at the edges, unless it was from an analog source unclean digitized) disabled fortunately, even if the option relatively "hidden" and "designated confusing" is ("Image Adjustment"). Unfortunately, the internal tuner also works with digital DVB signal with "forced overscan", so that the complete picture, which comes from the broadcaster, can not be seen. For this, I am sorry to deduct a star.
Unfortunately, the device has even exclusively via HDMI inputs and not via DisplayPort. However, DisplayPort "backward compatible" to HDMI, that is let to a DisplayPort source is (often wrongly called "adapters") using a special level shifters connect "legacy monitors", so I connect the Samsung TV with my modern computers can.
The scope of delivery included is an adapter for CI modules.
