Haptics / manufacturing quality - the Sirui makes a very high-quality impression. Everything is precisely machined, nothing wobbles, no game or other weaknesses are detected.
Function - The ball is fixed absolutely firmly with little force. The friction is very easy to dose. Problems with the friction - as they were described in another review - I could not find absolutely. I had no friction at my previous ball head and have decided, among other reasons also to a new purchase. I have to say it was definitely worth it. There are no accidental tipping with the risk of damaging anything. In addition, you can use the friction very nice to follow constantly corresponds to moving subjects without the head and lock. The holding force is easily sufficient to make even with 200 mm nor sharp images - even in the range of shutter speeds slower.
When Adjusting the shot I was floored - after fixing the ball to the framing does not change - I've seen at any of mine tested head.
On the stability of the head, there is in my view nothing to complain about - as far as I can determine it - all pictures of me largest available focal length of 200 mm perfectly sharp, sec up to a shutter speed of 1/30 -. A longer time I never need in practice.
Quick-change system - Super class! Finally a system that really holds bombproof - does not matter what position fixed in the head. Definitely superior to conventional clamping systems.
The Panorama function is also to mention - is ok, I do not need, so I have not tested them extensively.
--- UPDATE --- 07.05.2012
Since I've bought a Benro Gimbalkopf, in which the horizontal rotation is performed by the ball head, I need the panorama function now yet. Unfortunately this did not work the way it should be. Screwed to his head very firmly to the tripod, he turns very difficult. If it just so screwed that he still holds, although he turns much lighter, but it always has an initial resistance to be overcome. That's not so comfortable and interfere with accurate setting of an image section, as this is then hardly possible when using a telephoto lens 400. So I head to approx. 6 months complained - many thanks to Amazon - all handled totally quickly and easily. I have then it sent 30x the K - and lo and behold, no longer a problem - he turns silky smooth. I assume that I have received a faulty head at 20k. At the recommendation this warranty claim does not change.

I can recommend the full head - Top performance at a more than reasonable price. The rating refers to the use of a Canon EOS 7D with my heaviest and longest lens, a Canon EF 70-200mm 1: 2.8 L IS II USM - total weight approx. 2.3 kg.
