Grace Jones First Appeared in the mid 70's working in NYC nightclubs and Eventually landing a record deal with Iceland Record in 1977. Her disco years were great Producing search hits as "La Vie en Rose" which is a beautiful rendition of the original and therefore landing a # 1 spot with her then theme "I Need a Man". As disco faded in the early 80's Grace changed with it; She hooked up with Jean-Paul Goude and together They created the Grace we all know today; The Fierce "in your face" personality that's been Utilized in movies, on stage and in records. Teaming up with Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare resulted in three of the best records of the eighties: Warm Leatherette (1980), Night Clubbing (1981) and Living My Life (1982) Producing search hits as: Private Life, Love Is the Drug, pull Up to the Bumper, Demolition Man, I've Seen That Face Before and My Jamaican Guy. After the initial album releases she Took three years off to become a movie star in search movies as: Conan: The Destroyer, the James Bond flick "A View to a Kill" and more recently in Eddie Murphy's "Boomerang".
