On opaque legal problems resolved, the first novel by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, published in Spain in 1993, is now available in French. Originally intended radius youth bookstores, The Prince of Mist is actually worthy of the Green Library. Is this the fantastic touch, it is certain that the pages turn by themselves in this short story where it's fun to see the world of a writer to build with all the naivety of a first novel. The Prince of the fog, with its gothic poetry, is a dark and initiatory work, where death lurks on every page. A not unpleasant adaptation at all, ultimately, of Faustian pact with haunted house, evil creature and failed wreck at the bottom of the sea. A relaxation reading, unpretentious and, oddly, written rather better than some of the books Futures Zafon (Marina, The game of the angel). The second and third books of the Spanish author published in autumn 2012.
