For handling: although the OtterBox Defender makes the unit optically clear chunky, it is still great in the hand and can be operated without any problems. The "weight gain" through the protective cover is not as pronounced as it is sometimes described: only including the belt clip / stand combo the smart phone has about twice the weight as before, but as you normally let the clip on your belt or in your pocket (or even at home, when you need not stand still belt clip), the phone itself is only a few Deka difficult because the plastic / rubber sleeve is extremely light. When weight so clear can be given. From the look and feel forth the Otterbox was just the best!
What I miss the most, is a protection for the camera in the form of a plastic sliding door, which would be at the rather high price in my opinion, not asking too much. Thanks to the thick protective sleeve the camera glass is indeed to no longer directly and is relatively safe so from damage. However, if you wear the device in outdoor use open with the included belt clip, you have priority over any snapshots only clean the camera lens, as rain splashes and dust it is so obviously not protected. A sliding cover over the lens would be much less time-consuming.
An additional rubber flap over the Micro-USB port would not have been bad. Yes, I know, the Galaxy S5 is waterproof innately, but that is the headphone jack also, and above the Otterbox offers the well such separate rubber flap. That would still something fummeliger make charging as it already is through the device-specific lock anyway, but see above: in outdoor use light machine moisture and / or dust in the small hollow next to the shutter and can reach the ports when you open the flap ,
Despite these small improvements is an extremely high quality product that is definitely recommended for anyone whose Galaxy S5 is exposed on trips / walks or at work rougher conditions.
