Once home, I closed it as in the description called in (Windows XP recognized as described a USB playback device and installed appropriate drivers) and installed the included digitizing software Audacity (which it was on CD in the version 1.xx and on the site of Audacity version 2.0.1 is now available).
Unfortunately, I failed to get a shot on the PC. The device plays a cassette from (sounds mechanically while not necessarily inspire confidence), sets the tone via the jack output to the headphones on; only apparently works this is not over USB. After long back and forth, and various setting tests in Audacity and in the audio settings of Windows I gave up in exasperation.
Overall impression: Optical, haptic and technically makes the device to high-quality impression, one can only hope (because it works) that the device by holding several hours if you want to digitize a Kassetttensammlung. Certainly at this price can be expected no sophisticated technology, but it should work.
Conclusion: Perhaps you would rather include (s) a higher quality tape deck to the sound card and so digitized his old Magnetbandschätzchen.
