I am particularly irritated the interchangeable lenses, which are not cheap, but do not miss their effect. But now to the Nikon 1 S1, which makes only once attention straightaway by their sophisticated exterior.
The hardware:
The high-gloss plastic casing acts as if it were very high quality and precise fit of aluminum. Since wobbles and rattles nothing, as it should be with. The supplied lens is attached very quickly and, thanks to the bayonet coupling, changed just as quickly. Overall, the camera is very small and light, even with the lens. I like this maneuverability because as the Nikon also in a spacious handbag has space, without having to take an extra camera bag. This occurs most rapidly by rotating the lens and the corresponding button in it. The display is really nice and big and you tell if the images are managed. The HD video can be played, even if they come across better on a large screen TV, of course. Unfortunately, it reflects something and is very prone to fingerprints. Getting used to, however, is the lightning that comes out shot from the camera body when needed quasi! Since you have already careful that you do not just at the point the finger at the lightning, sitting at a delicate-looking Gestängel, is extended. It folds the way manually, by pressing lightly on the cover. Nevertheless, half dark rooms of the small flash lights look good and also when it does not guarantee a professional flash, it is sufficient for my needs perfectly.
The software:
Which brings us to the photos that are surprisingly good! Under optimal light conditions I get, thanks to the high number of pixels a razor sharp image on which many details are visible. But even in dark rooms, at parties or at dusk can shoot amazingly good photos with a few settings.
However, one must only times out and apply. Because the use of the camera, especially when you would like to work with different effects is, at first glance a bit cumbersome: Ins menu, select the appropriate setting, losknipsen. And the next photo again. Sure, you can shoot in auto mode and photos, but if you have certain rights and a lot want to try, then only helps to navigate through the menu. This can be annoying in the long run something, especially as the effect of the spontaneous photos something is lost.
On the menu, however, is built up very positively and it also comes well with it without having previously studied the manual for hours. Due to the reduced number of buttons and controls can be as well not do much wrong when there is the willingness to deal with the menu.
In addition to my little Panasonic Nikon S1 looks rather large and, depending on the selected lens, a bit bulky. The photos are, however, worth taking the extended footprint in purchasing. As a layman, I use the camera like at leisure, on holiday or at family gatherings. Here she offers me a great range of services and fulfills many desires that I have a camera. Especially with portraits, in the macro range, or even with moving subjects, create beautiful photographs with a little patience. For me, the Nikon 1 S1 is a good entry-level camera for those who have yet want to grope in the field of photography to the possibilities.
While the lens cap and the filigree attached flash are small weaknesses to me, however, predominate here the positive aspects: The easy, intuitive operability, the good quality of photos and videos, as well as the chic exterior that makes the camera a coveted item. For me it has become a faithful companion, I can in good conscience give 4 stars.
