First an overview:
-The Camera is very small, a little bigger in her pretty well (necessary to secure and protect it. Its weight is low but still represents a constraint attached to the helmet. The best for me is to fix the torso (via the harness).
-L'image Is of good quality. There are several modes, in 1080 25image / s (as a modern TV or bluray)
or 720p 25 or 25 frames / s. More other sub modes in rectangular format (for more top viewing angle in the bottom, but with an old-fashioned appearance, prefer to stay 16/9) or low resolution possibly with more images per second (for slow motion but not in high definition). The record is mixed and well saturated. The white balance can sometimes be very far fetched, but it is impossible to solve (we light is turned off, that's all we can do!)
-The Focal length is not variable, it is only in 1080p which can artificially increase the focal length (in fact it is a crop, the lens offers a fish eye -170 ° - which distorts many straight lines). The fish eye effect can be a little making use force and it is based on mounting mix the images with those of a more conventional camera lenses. Think about it!
-The Fixing GoPro lintermédiaire is either by a screw or a quick coupler as appropriate.
Negative points:
- First disappointment, résolutuion: I thought I could shoot with the same quality as my Sony HX9v (an excellent compact for the film) in 1080 50images / s. In fact you have to stay in 720p for 50images / s. That said we remain very acceptable quality. and mix these images with those of Sony HX9V will not shock. The advantage of 50images / s is the quality and the possibility of fluid slowed. It remains perfectly fluid at a rate of 50% and a rate of 25% may be considered (in this case handy little trick: you have mounting duplicate the secancy on another track, the shift from one image to put 50 % transparency, which smooth idling) or other with software like Twixtor (a paid plugin).
-the basic bindings do not allow much, it will rapidly invest in other accessories, including the harness and roll bar mount. Eventually the converter tripod. (Careful addition to the final !!)
-To Be clear: the sound of the GoPro is ultra rotten. Simply browse youtube to realize. With the waterproof case is almost nonexistent, with openwork back (supplied in the pack) is better, but the internal microphone, mono and highly compressed produces a very very ugly. The only solution, and thank you GoPro HD "TWO", grafted him a microphone. But for this you have to buy the perforated casing (Skeleton), and it'll climb the budget once!
-the default delivered waterproof case does not allow itself to film under water, it will buy the box Dive housing ...
-The connection via mini-HDMI (cable to be purchased separately) is not what is the best. Navigating through the menus is done laboriously with the two buttons on the GoPro and I can not use my TV remote control (while with others it works wonderfully APN). However one can receive the flow of images and sound live on TV which is quite fun (and may be useful can be? I do not know)
******************************
So in the end, to summarize, I advise still buy a GoPro HD Hero 2, but beware if like me you want to film everything and everywhere with her, because each accessory is quite expensive. I think we need to look at what some bindings offer tierses certain brands in order to have a proper budget. This is the case for example of the suction cup (5 generic GoPro suction cup against the 35 model).

Some advice to finish:
-Avoid Too long plans. Fast trend was filming a thrilling action of 5, 10 or 15 minutes, but no one really wanted to look at a fixed level so long. Think to vary the angles to be able to make a very dynamic editing to finish. Look at the "official" video for GoPro realizing it.
-Think to reverse the image when filming in the menus with the GoPro upside down (this is the case with the harness ATV). Yes you can always flip the image during editing, but it's much more annoying to watch the rushes on the PC or on TV!
-Think to still shots with GoPro! simply place on the ground or on a tripod to pass thoroughly brushing the camera for some great shots!
-Think To stick the camera against your mouth when you shoot holding the camera in hand. This allows you to frame it properly already (when not invested in a display screen sold option) and stabilizes the image LOT! It seems stupid to shoot like that, but it's super effective.
-Think to buy the fixings that go for the sport you want to practice with the GoPro. And as soon as possible to vary angles. Each activity will require more particular accessory. For mountain biking: harness and bar mount almost mandatory.
-Filmez With the best quality possible, 1080p or 720p. The images will be enjoyable to watch and Youtube enables easy distribution of these formats. HD has been democratized!
-Avoid the square mode and preferred modes / 16: 9 displays are all 16/9!
-envie to have sound on the videos? buy a microphone Sony ECM-DS70P kind (or other) with a perforated box (or base case ajourez suddenly drill ... but personally I do not feel that). Also consider making a windbreaker with hairy fabrics on the microphone!
-envie shoot underwater? buy the box "Dive housing", otherwise the image will be blurred (as when we look in the water without mask). Or even a red filter for shooting at + 10m deep.
-Last Point with all accessories that one ended up thinking it will buy a carrying case for everything. Also it is smart to always carry his GoPro in a bag to avoid scratching the lens of the box ....
-Ha! and we must think of one or two 16GB SD card for example. and why not a backup battery.
