Why I have chosen for this quartet the GPad? Good equipment, processing and primarily because the official CyanogenMod support.
The hardware of the GPad 8.3 is exalted almost beyond doubt. One criticism is the rather low maximum brightness of the display for me. For interior however, it is bright enough. The display is rather warm and acts for me (compared to the Nexus 10) oversaturated, "drink" dark areas somewhat. That was it but also already with the criticisms of the hardware. Equipment fits: The Snapdragon 600 is sufficiently performant, 2GB RAM, microSD expansion, GPS, USB OTG, SlimPort ... The stereo speakers (albeit at the back) are loud enough, the quality is like that of a tablet expected to moderate, the same applies to the cameras.
For Software: While the unit is running with the relative current Android version 4.4.2, like Samsung, LG makes the AOSP UI almost nothing uberührt and (not deinstallierbare) Bloatware is included in masses. What particularly bothers me about the floor-Rom, is that a menu softkey is used instead of Recents softkeys. The is no longer actually provided since Android 4.0 the part of Google. Since the device is soon 1 year on the market, I reckon no longer so that it will create through official channels on this Android Tablet L. Fortunately, there are a remedy Cyanogenmod and others.
Who can I recommend this device?
Those who are looking for a well-equipped Android tablet ...
... But a ~ 7 "tablet too small - if not, I would strongly for Nexus 7 (2013) advise -...
... And a ~ 10 "tablet is too big ...
... And does not interfere at the LG UI or in any case draw a CustomRom into consideration.
Who does not want to Custom Roms, but would still like to have a close-AOSP Android version, the aforementioned Acer tablet could look more accurate. However, I submit that there has been spared some corners (brightness sensor, Sensor for Smart Cover, etc.)
