Good hardware and software, design improvement

The camera takes good videos, sharp and colored correctly, even in low light. Especially nice is the lapse function which, for example every 200 ms, an image is made and then you can track a ride very quickly. Switching on and operation of the camera take place rapidly, and GPS gives no cause for criticism. What I do not like the design. I do not mean the "cool" appearance, but the functional housing design. Matt Black is very good, but why then white lettering and silvery metal covers on the front? Also the protruding lens I would rather flat in the housing. The mounting with rubber nipple is almost twice as high as the whole camera. This latter protrudes when mounted on the windshield pretty far down and is clearly recognizable immediately as dashcam outside. They can not be inconspicuously installed next to the mirror such as the iTracker 0806th
Removing the SD card is not feasible without tools (needle, pin). There could save recessed installation including protective rubber cover and leave the card simply protrude slightly (the flap falls eh 'at some point down).
The display is very good and useful while driving. Even though as a faulty design: The frame around the screen is glossy. What for? The same matte black like the rest of the housing would have been optimal.
The mini-USB port unfortunately leads that you can not use chargers / cables of smartphones, which would be very handy. The next generation of Dashcams is sure microUSB own, as you can see already in the aforementioned iTracker 0806, which also SD cards up to 128GB swallows (of which equal 2 pieces!).
For documentation purposes, for no particular need for discretion, the Cam is really very good usable. As a fixed installation less. The 5 stars are there for the built-in hardware and software, housing etc. would get maximum. 4

Addendum: A direct comparison with the 0806Pro iTracker showed that DOD created a much better picture. Sharper and better color. So who (also) just wants to make high-quality recordings of his travels: DOD is better.
What I was not so clear at the criticism of the attachment: At some point, the upper limit is reached at which the wiper no longer wipes. Although the 0806 as far as possible affixed above is pretty discreet, but the disc in front is always more or less dusty.
